Itinerary Inca Trail

Day 1: Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Wayllabamba
Our tour will start at 5:30 am from Cusco to go to Ollantaytambo, here we will make a stop so you can have breakfast or buy what you need. We will travel from Ollantaytambo to Km 82 where our tour of the Inca Trail will begin. First control Piscacucho located at 2700 meters above sea level, where we will begin our walk of approximately 2 hours until we reach Patallacta 2750 meters above sea level Inca archaeological site where you will have important information about the place. Afterwards we will have a 45 minute walk until we reach our store so you can enjoy a delicious lunch, we will continue with a walk of approximately 1 hour and a half to reach our first camp Wayllabamba 3000 meters above sea level, where we will have our dinner and spend the night to recover energy.

Day 2: Wayllabamba – Warmiwañusca – Pacaymayo

Early in the morning at 5:30 we will have our breakfast to start our walk of approx 45 minutes to reach the second checkpoint. We will begin a gradual ascent of approx 1 hour and 30 minutes (4 KM). We will arrive at the first rest point (tres piedras) where we can find toilets and local sales points, and then continue the ascent of approx 1 hour and 30 minutes (4 km) to reach our second rest point Llulluchapampa 3800 m.a.s.l., then we continue the walk of approx 1 hour and 45 minutes (4 km) to the Warmiwañusca pass at 4215 m.a.s.l., then we make a descent of 2 hours and 30 minutes to the Pacay mayo camp at 3600 m.a.s.l. where we will have our tea and dinner, where we will spend the night in this place.

Day 3: Pacaymayo – Wiñayhuayna

Early in the morning we will have breakfast. Then we will continue with our walk, this stretch is 16 km. full of vegetation and many Inca archaeological sites with different functions. The first archaeological site we will visit will be Runcurakay (3750 masl) which is located 45 minutes from the starting point which is another Inca archaeological complex in the form of towers that has a strategic surveillance site of this valley, then we continue to Runcurakay Pass 3900 masl where we have a brief explanation of the Inca culture and then we will descend for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the second archaeological site to visit Sayacmarka (area of ​​​​difficult ascent, due to the difficulty of the steps) then we will continue for 25 minutes to the point of Chaquicocha where we will taste a lunch that the chef will prepare for us and then continue the walk to the next archaeological site to visit named Puyupatamarca 3750 masl for 2 hours and 30 minutes, we continue with the 3-hour descent of steps to our camp Wiñayhuayna where we will have our tea and special dinner because on this day we will have a farewell ceremony for our porters. (This camp may vary with Phuyupatamarca depending on availability) If we stay at the Phuyupatamarca camp on day 4 we will walk 3 hours downhill to Wiñaywayna and approximately 2 more hours to Machu Picchu we will arrive at the citadel at 11 in the morning on average.

Day 4: WiñayHuayna – Machu Picchu – Cusco

In the early hours of the morning at 3:30 am we will have our breakfast, then we will descend to the checkpoint where we will wait for 1 hour and 20 minutes, passing the control we will walk for 1 hour and 30 minutes to the point of Inti Punku (Sun Gate) where we will spend a 20-minute break to be able to have one of the best visits to the Inca city of Machu Picchu and then we will begin the 1-hour descent to the citadel of Machu Picchu.

Afterwards we will receive the 2-hour history-filled tour with our guide and you will have some free time to take more photos and explore the archaeological site and from there return to the town of Aguas Calientes where you can have lunch on your own and visit the hot springs and then finally head to the train station which can be (18:20 or 21:50 depending on availability) to return to the town of Ollantaytambo. At the Ollantaytambo station you will be waiting for our tourist bus to return to the city of Cusco, drop off in the center of Cusco.
